Smooth off-form finishes are best employed where they are to receive paint or other applied finish. A good example of this is the office section of MEA at Seven hills.
Simple modulation of off-form surfaces, such as ribbing, improves the appearance and weathering of units. This was used effectively in the Slough Industrial Estate at Silverwater. Here the ribbed finish was enhanced by the use of off-white cement, while weathering was improved with curved bases to the panels.
