Hanson has a number of standard moulds for typical full- and half-flight stairs (see Design Data for details). These include 14- and 15-riser full-flights, and 8- and 9-riser half-flights. For large quantities (say more than 20 units) different moulds can be constructed to suit your design requirements.

Precast stairs and landings compliment the use of other precast elements in building construction, such as floor and walling systems, allowing their benefits to flow on to the building as a whole.

These include:

  • Quality-controlled off-site manufacture and storage allowing delivery as required.
  • Reduction of trades on-site, resulting in reduced infrastructure and facility requirements as well as increasing site safety.
  • Not having to erect and dismantle expensive and labour-intensive formwork means other trades can move in more quickly behind the construction team and speed up overall completion of the building
